Day3 Bali - Celuk, Besakih

The first stop was at a batik shop, quite similar to those shops found in the East Coast States of Peninsula Malaysia (i.e. Terengganu and Kelantan). What entralled us was the intricately carved wooden door ;)

(L) The batik shop's entrance
(R) Jo in the shop...

The next stop was more to my taste ;)
(L) the main entrance to the silver smithing shop in Celuk, Central Bali
(M) & (R) resizing and polishing the ring I bought for IDR250K - approx. SGD38/ RM79
(Note: original price was IDR450K - approx. SGD68/ RM163)
Entering the shop area...loved the door too ;)
Li Li and Tin Choo were inside selecting their earrings while I went out to see my ring being resized and polished.

The next stop was to Pura Besakih (the Mother Temple) with Mount Agung hidden by clouds during our visit :(
(L) Apart from paying IDR10K/person and IDR5K/vehicle...for the English-speaking guide, we had to fork out another IDR50K/person!!! And at the end, the guide asked for tips as the earlier money was for the temple's upkeep fund, or something like that...what a rip off as the guide's English was hardly understandable. We resorted to speaking Bahasa Malaysia and tried to understand his Bahasa Indonesia instead.
(M) & (R) View of the temples within Pura Besakih (there are temples for Vishnu, Brahma & Shiva, etc.)
