Day4 Nugraha Lovina Resort, Lovina

Photos around our picturesque hotel at Lovina...Nugraha Lovina Bay Resort Hotel :D

View around lobby:

Tinchoo modelling her legs in our small room...

Did both shots above with my 'broken' mini-tripod, I 'dislocated' one of it's legs :(

Black volcano sand on the Lovina shores...scenic, huh?

A panoramic shot of our accommodation...our's in the middle photo - ground floor behind the coconut tree

Beautiful sunset...

As there was practically nothing to do and nowhere to go...we had simple dinner in the hotel and slept early as we'll be going dolphin sighting the next day. All of us must be up and ready by 6am!!!

Day4 Ubud - shopping & babi guling lunch

Performers getting ready, etc. (location: near the Ubud palace/temple?)

Ladies decked in their Sunday's best for upacara (rituals).

At Ubud's Market..

Clowning around with 2 'turtle-shells' (Crumpler Bags- Tinchoo and mine)

(Note to DKBC: Bought one of the puzzles available for one of the 'civilised, planned' games by PLL's 'sisters' before 'bridal pickup' on 06Dec2008)

The famous Ibu Oka's moved to another location...had to walk a big round as there the direct route was blocked due to temple rituals. After all the hype from friends who've been to Bali and recommended Babi Guling (Rolling/ Rolled Pig)...I felt that the meal was so-so. What's nice was probably the spicy sauce.

Day3-4 Taman Harum Cottages & Ubud dinner

When we arrived at Taman Harum's driveway, the first thought that came to our mind was...WOW! Good place to take photos coz of the landscaping, deco, etc.

From the driveway to the reception area was about 200m and it was getting dark when we arrived about 5:30pm. Checking was a breeze, I only need to fill a form and handover the room voucher to the reception personnel.

Yippee! We were informed that there was free return transfer to Ubud town from 8am-10pm daily. Li Li went ahead with the bellboy to ensure our bags were deposited into our room. Meanwhile, Tin Choo and I were negotiating the charges for our return land transfer from Ubud to Lovina and from Lovina to Sanur with Ketut the driver.

When Li Li returned, she was laughing...all she said was we should see for ourselves what we've managed to book :D

(L) Our room's door
(M) Li Li and I shared the king-sized bed while Tin Choo settled into the spare bed nearer the window
(R) Our stone guardian outside our room's window on the right (towards the reception/pool)

(R) Our neighbours' doors (Note: to lock the door, use a normal padlock through the 'door rings')
(M) We posed for this shot (location was between the driveway and the restaurant) while waiting for our free transfer to Ubud town at 6pm
(R) One of the 4 entrances from the driveway to the rooms

(R) Dined at Mumbul Restaurant, nice place but had to wait quite long for food (approx. 40minutes)...that having informed the waitress that we've pick up arranged at 8:45pm (actually the arranged time was at 9pm)
(K) Our dinner which consisted of Nasi Goreng, Green Chicken Curry (a tad salty), banana with icecream dessert (called biu lablab) and bottled water. The total cost was IDR124K (break down - food @ IDR107K + 5% service charge + 10% tax)

Li Li and I were surprised to find out that Tin Choo didn't bring her camera's battery charger and it was running low. Luckily her Canon Ixus 50's battery could somehow fit into my Panasonic Lumix FX36 battery charger's cradle ;D

Early morning view at Taman Harum Cottages...

(L) The morning sun shining into our room
(M) & (R) Tin Choo noticed the different shades of the brick walls as the sun hits one wall and not the other...so I went trigger-happy with my camera ;)

(L) View of the rice field next to the swimming pool
(M) After our morning swim, managed to catch rays of sunlight on my way back to our room
(R) Reception area

(L) Area next to the reception
(R) My continental breakfast...trust me, it's not that yummy...and to make it worse, coffee was diluted and unfiltered!
Wished that we could stay longer here...but we had to move on to Lovina (North Bali)...Dolphins, here we come!

Day3 Bali - Kintamani

From Besakih, we went further up North towards Danau and Mount Batur.

The above photos were our first glimpse of Danau and Mount Batur from Ketut's Avanza.

The above photos are the scenic view we had from our table at Grand Puncak Sari Restaurant (buffet lunch @ IDR80K/person and tax was @21%!). Meal was not worth mentioning, but the view was priceless ;D

We passed Tegalalang's famed rice terrace on our way from Kintamani to Ubud. We stopped for photo opportunities before heading to Ubud to check into Taman Harum Cottages.
