My condolences to Trixy and family

A rewind back to Sep/ Oct 2008.....Trixy shared the dreaded new that her Mom's afflicted with pancreatic cancer. My thought immediately went back in time to 1988 when I lost my grandmother to the same type of cancer. I could feel her anguish as I've seen the suffering.

I made a silent promise to drop in for a visit when I'm home. I probably managed to visit twice.
I've always referred to Mrs. Daisy Chua as 'cher and remember how Eugene (Trixy's older bro) teasing me and asked why I don't call him Mom Auntie instead.

Well, Mrs Daisy was my teacher before Trixy and I were friends. 'cher taught me Kemahiran Hidup - Ekonomi Rumah Tangga (loosely translated to Living Skills - Home Economics) back in 1993.

Cooking classes were ok as classmates and I were sharing the workload. But my stitching had me in stitches as I remembered Mrs. Daisy's comment that mine looked like kuku kambing instead of what it was supposed to be (sorry-lah, too long ago to remember the details!)

As usual, I was supposed to drop in for CNY visiting on 2nd day of CNY but had other appointments and could not schedule a right time. Then Trixy's message came on Fri afternoon (30/01), abt 3:30pm to inform that her Mom has passed on. Since it was CNY and I didn't want my Dad to say that I should not go for the wake, I called to inform my Mom. This is one of the people that had touched me and I'll be there for Mrs. Daisy andTrixy. I was at Gui Yuan Funeral Parlour from 10pm-12am to pay last respects and extend condolences to Eugene & Miza, Trina & Calvin, Sidney & May and Trixy & Steven, also to the kids. Uncle Johnny was resting at home.

Holding back tears was tough, as it is writing about it now. Azlan and Amelie especially were burst pipes. I had to take a few walks to clear my head and tears as Trixy made me promise not to shed tears in front of her and Steven.

Lastly, I will always remember and love you Mrs.Daisy Chua. Rest In Peace.
