2008 Jun - Meeting Chai & Lee Kian

Suky informed that her ex-colleagues'll be visiting 28-30June. Since we were acquainted in HLB, I decided to join them (Chai & Lee Kian). Apart from shopping, we had good meals:

Enjoying pork ribs @ Tony Roma's in Orchard (dinner on 28 Jun)

yummy food - but it's so filling that the 4 of us could barely manage to finish tho we were famished from the walking, shopping earlier.

L - Suky and I, can't wait to attack the ice-cream tho we were stuffed with all the meaty dinner
R - Thank goodness there's Chai & Lee Kian to share the ice cream - we've struggled to finish main course

Carl's Jr in VivoCity (lunch - 29 Jun)

L - I had fat-laden burger and cheesy fries while Chai had healthy burger - wrapped in cabbage!
R - reluctant model, Lee Kian, showing off her burger with mine ;)

Meeting Jodie & Jayden @ Pasir Ris

Meet 2 month old Jayden Lee...such a bubbly baby :D

But as I told Jodie, it's scary to hold babies less than 6 months as their necks are not strong enough to hold up their heads (therefore, potential risk and hazard for me). But that 'Ma' of mine just plonked my 'Bro' on my lap for the photo on the right. I almost broke out in cold sweat!
By the way, the photos were taken by Jessy as we met in Pasir Ris ;)

Colleague's farewell lunch - Jasmine Lim

Guess this was the start of 3 departures from my Unit Head's teams, she in charged of Investment/ Subsidiaries and overseeing my team, Personal Financial Services. We are normally left on our own, as her tenure as our unit head should only be about a year before the new PFS unit head takes over. So I'll be getting a new boss either in Jan'09 or Mar'09...shall keep you posted ;)

We had Jasmine's Lunch @ Manna Korean restaurant along Telok Ayer St

Road to recovery

Doc informed that it'll probably be another month or 2 before I can wear shoes again. In the meantime, I should 'air' my toes as much as possible...if keep it wrapped up too long, might have infection, etc...

(L) 20070530 First time my toe was exposed to light after surgery

(R) covered up nicely after wound dressing

(L) before dressing done by my cousin Nie on 20080601
(R) 2 days later, I DIY-ed wound dressing on my own

Two weeks after surgery, I had removal of stitches (20080605) - one of the most painful moments in my life! Imagine the nurse pulling at each 'thread' to create some space for the scissors. There were 4 stitches, all were ran through my flesh and anchored to my remaining nail.

Tadaa...out of the woods, painful...but nothing I can't survive ;)

Hope by all's well by end Jul...I'm so looking forward to my Bali trip with LiLi and TinChoo
