Hanoi travel itinerary-DONE!

It took about 2 weeks of gruelling internet trawling (together with Elaine, LiLi) to find the right hotel and locals tours within our budget .

Oh yes, before I forget...I'll be going to Hanoi with Pix-Xie, LiLi, HanSan (Jeff), Elaine and LengSim. Apart from Pix-Xie who is from JB, the rest of us are scattered in Klang Valley. Pix-Xie and I'll be flying in 1 day earlier on Sat (14/07) while the rest on the following day. We'll be there til 19/07 and arriving home @ LCCT on 20/07.

We've decided to put up in Hanoi Plaza Hotel (HPH) (http://www.hanoiplazahotel.com/) and have them arrange all our inbound tour. Hope it's a reasonably clean hotel as advertised on their website.

Tentatively, Pix-Xie and I shall be going to the following places:-
14/07 Arrival @ Hanoi, check in HPH & dinner with Trixy (my high school classmate)
15/07 Perfume Pagoda
16/07 Hoa Lu & Tamcoc + Water Puppet show
17-18/07 Ha Long Bay overnight on Chinese Junk
19/07 Hanoi City tour + fly home

Shall tell you more after my trip.

Now I'm on a mission to get a new pair of 2-pc swim suit, shortlisted brands are Arena and Ogival as Speedo is just too skimpy to cover my unflattering parts (esp. midriff).

Also, looking into getting a travel backpack...I'm eyeing High Sierra's Transport (it's a 2-in-1 whereby a smaller daypack is attached) but it's RM220 after discount from Tearproof, Mid Valley.

Back to work, at the moment I'm busy preparing for my next work assignment in Kepong...arrgh...

3 weeks in Johor Bahru

After a short period at home, I'm off again on work assignment to Johor Bahru (JB). I consider it my hometown as my 4th Aunt (My Mom's side) lives there and we visit quite frequently (almost every year) when I was still in school.

I drove down the 350+km with 2 colleagues (Rozina & Christy) while Fahmi was in Khairul's Perodua Myvi. On work, I still have a lot to learn...no further comment on it at the moment.

As for excursions, I'd say it was not as interesting as the short trips I did while in Sibu. Nonetheless, we were just in time for the start of the Great Singapore Sale!

Managed to get myself a new Seiko 5 watch from Mustafa Centre, a 24-hours shopping centre located @ Syed Alwi Road, off Serangoon Road AND a replacement pair of sport sandals.
My beloved Teva Pretty Rugged was with me since Dec'00 (@SGD78) and have gone through a lot with me, sadly it's it pretty bad shape now.

The replacement is a better model, Teva Terra-Fi 2 @ SGD80 (approx RM184). FYI, from http://www.teva.com/ the price for this model's USD80! (approx RM280) and I also checked out the price in World of Sports, Subang Parade @ RM289 with 10% disc (RM260.10).
Yeah, I have a smug smile on my face ;)

My younger bro (Aircraft Technician, SIA Eng. Co) came over twice to watch Spider-Man 3 (GSC, Pelangi Leisure Mall) and Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (TGV, Aeon Tebrau City). Being the nice sister that I am, I drove him back to his rented room in Tampines after the movies (both on Wed) and reached back to Puteri Pacific Hotel about 1am. Almost a zombie the following day @ work :(
I also went over for dinner twice (@ Bugis & Holland Village) with relatives from my Dad's side.

In 3 weeks, I was in and out of Singapore a record of 9 times!!! I was told that those living in JB don't even go over to Singapore that many times in a year! Well, at least I've put my NEW passport into good use ;D
